1000 miles in 3 days

Our busy schedule once again found us heading up the A1 to beautiful Northumberland – this time a whistle stop tour which meant I wouldn’t have much time for the camera.

We drove up early Saturday morning, the 6 hour drive broken by a few stops for breakfast and brunch. We were going to be covering a lot of miles and had lots of appointments to keep whist up North, but we were able to start our trip in the lovely Seaton Sluice in Tyne and Wear. A beautiful little harbour that we would like to visit again sometime. I took some long exposure shots whilst there before we had to rush off to our first appointment.

Seaton Sluice 2 – 18mm – f18 – 1.4sec – ISO100
Seaton Sluice 3 – 18mm – f22 – 4 sec – ISO100

The weekend was a bit of a whirlwind after this – apart from a brief vist to the coastal town of Amble on Sunday afternoon, where I managed this quick shot of the harbour.

Amble Harbour – 18mm – f9 – 1/320th sec – ISO100

We did manage to get onto an amazing beach at Druridge at Sunset on sunday – which produced some nice shots for me.

Druridge Beach South – 18mm – f18 – 15sec – ISO100
Druridge Beach North – 18mm – f18 – 20sec – ISO100
Druridge Beach Reflections – 18mm – f11 – 1/30th – ISO400
Druridge Beach – 18mm – f11 – 1/30th – ISO400

After this, a busy day again Monday, then the 330 mile drive south back to the south – meaning over 1000 miles for the 3 days. Very tiring trip, but wouldn’t change anything, an amazing weekend in an amazing place.
